Should I Start A Vlog?

I can't decide if it's a good idea or not?

“Welcome to my channel…”

That’s a sentence I never imagined myself saying haha but yet.. lately, with these big life changes happening, (moving countries, becoming a bride, navigating the exciting messy bits in-between…) I’m thinking more and more whether I should genuinely start a YouTube weekly vlog?

I have SO much to say. And I feel that you only know the surfance level of me because of how and what I share.

Instagram is… moments. A “highlight reel”.

Substack is my thoughts all in writing once I’ve had time to process and understood them to share.

But there’s a lot in between that I just don’t know how to put into words properly. And sometimes by the time I’ve written about something, it already feels tied up in a neat bow when in reality it wasn’t like that at all. It’s messy.

I also just really love watching people live their normal lives. Not big announcements. Just chatting while they cook, drive somewhere, talk through what’s going on in their head. I put them on in the background and weirdly feel more connected to that than a perfect post.

So I keep wondering if video would let me share myself a bit more… naturally? Can I just reiterate, this will absolutely not replace this space here (I love writing here), or instagram (another space I love and the OG to my journey in the social media world). But YouTube just adds another layer…

BUT it is a commitment. I’m not oblivious to this. And I’m not someone who wants to start something I won’t keep up.

Which is why I’m asking properly:

Would you actually watch?

Like honestly… not in a supportive “of course!” way.

Is that something you’d genuinely be interested in, or do you prefer things just staying here and Instagram?

I’d really appreciate your honest thoughts on this. Comment below or pop me message! This will seriously determine whether I take the plunge or not.
